Top 5 Natural Butter Flavours

There are so many ways to use these incredibly delicious butters.. Here are our top six ways:

  • On toast, topped with your favourite fruit

  • Melted on a freshly baked muffin or brioche

  • Added to a dessert platter with fresh fruit, mini blinis

  • On a stack of pancakes, with a drizzle of Manuka Honey

  • Combined with icing sugar to create a blissful butter cream icing, or if you prefer refined sugar free, try adding your favourite nut butter and a dollop of thick yoghurt before whipping

  • On your breakfast porridge with a spoonful of honey

These compound butter recipes are made with dairy butter, but you can easily substitute the dairy butter with your favourite nut butter for a slightly more runny option. Perfect for adding to smoothies!

Because we’re huge fans of spiced pumpkin, we have of course included a spiced pumpkin and honey butter recipe for fall, along with four other sweet flavoured butter recipes.

What you'll find in this blog:

Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla and Honey Butter Recipe
Ideal for fall and Halloween, our spiced pumpkin, vanilla and honey butter recipe is ideal melted on fruit toast, on a fresh cinnamon brioche, graham cracker or used as a spread on your Halloween platter.

Pure Manuka Honey Butter Recipe (great for whipping!)
Our versatile honey butter recipe can be used as a sweet butter on absolutely anything! Our favourite ay to enjoy this is melted over pancakes with a big drizzle of Manuka Honey on top, but it’s also amazing used in baking, or just squished between biscuits and enjoyed. When it’s whipped, it can be used to decorate cupcakes because its sweet enough to not need any added icing sugar.

Lemon, poppy seed and Cardamom butter Recipe
This butter is our absolute fave when you’re looking for something a little different. Use it to flavour bliss balls, melt over French toast or spread on regular toast for a delicious breakfast on the go. Spread with a lush dollop of Manuka Honey and you’ll be in flavour heaven.

Spiced Chocolate Butter Recipe
I mean, we can’t really have a butter recipe without including the crowd fave – chocolate! Add a sprinkle of spice and you’ve got an incredible base for a mug of hot chocolate, a biscuit filling, or creating your very own spiced chocolate pan au chocolat with fresh puff pastry.

Vanilla Pecan Butter Recipe
This is the perfect butter to use a nut butter as a base, to create an even nuttier flavour. Macadamia butter is an incredible base for compound butter because of its super subtle flavour, and by adding a dollop of coconut oil you’ll create a firm finish that will allow you to cut it into beautiful rounds to serve, or eave out the coconut oil and present in a jar.

You can keep these in your fridge or freezer (just make sure they’re completely covered or stored in an airtight container) to use whenever you want them!

Lemon, poppy seed and Cardamom butter Recipe
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp poppy seeds
½ tsp powdered cardamom
2 tbsp Manuka Honey
1 cup of unsalted butter

Spiced Chocolate Butter Recipe
2 tsp dark cocoa powder
2 tbsp Manuka Honey
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp chili powder

Vanilla Pecan Butter Recipe
½ tsp vanilla paste
50g chopped roasted pecans
2 tbsp Manuka Honey
1 cup butter (salted or unsalted)

For all recipes, simply combine all ingredients in a small blender and pulse until well mixed.

Take a 30cm piece of waxed paper and using spatula, pour your butter mix in a line on the paper.

Roll the paper around the line of butter and screw tie the ends like a Christmas cracker.

Refrigerate overnight and once you’re ready to use, slice the butter into rounds.

Alternatively, you can pop the butter mix into a silicon mini loaf tray and refrigerate, or spoon the butter mix into ice trays to cool as individual blocks!
