One Sweet Day with @keto.abg

In our series of journal entries, we follow six people through their daily routine. Foodies, beauty lovers, bakers, healthy living fans, there is inspiration for everyone! With insights into how Steens Manuka Honey fits into their daily routine, we get to see how it benefits them in a number of ways – some more surprising than others! We will introduce a new person each week, so make sure you follow along.

Hi friends! I'm Diana from sunny Southern California. I am a clinical laboratory scientist who specialized in cancer diagnostics. I'm a new mother to a wonderful 16 month old girl. Living a healthy lifestyle is very important for me, as i've watched my mother go through debilitating health issues. I not only want to do better, but I want to model for my children that they can also. For some time, I have followed a ketogenic way of life but I have introduced healthy forms of carbohydrates back into my diet. This includes Manuka honey! When I am not busy with work and chasing after my toddler, I enjoy baking and cooking. I am always trying to think of new ideas to incorporate new healthy and delicious meals for my family.

7:00am
Wake up to my silly toddlers babbling in her crib. I greet her with a smile and say "good morning", before planting a kiss on her sweet, bubbly cheek. We start our day!

8:00am
While prepping breakfast for my toddler, I steep myself my favourite tea - usually a floral earl grey. Once steeped,  I add a spoonful of Steens Honey. I absolutely love the taste and the anti-inflammatory benefits. It's been my sweetener of choice for years now! Now that I am pregnant again, I've switched my coffee to tea. Tea with honey gives me life in the morning.

Noon
My toddler and I enjoy lunch together. She's been loving avocado toast lately, on Ezekiel bread. While she's enjoying her avocado toast, I make a toast of my own but with peanut butter and a delicious drizzle of Steens Manuka Raw honey. After lunch we play with some of her toys and do some fun activities before her nap time.

5:00pm
A healthy dinner is being prepared just before my husband gets home. Once ready, we all sit together and enjoy our meal and go over our day. After dinner, we like to take an evening stroll around the neighbourhood to get some steps and fresh air. Alternatively, when we aren't too tired, we would take a short drive to the nearest park and let our little one run around and enjoy the swings.

7:00pm
It's wind down time and we get our toddler ready for bed starting with a nice warm bath. We get her into cozy pjs and let her pick out her favourite books to read. Sometimes it ends up being 4 books! The sleepy dust finally takes over and we take her to bed. My husband and I finally get some time to ourselves. We usually end the nightcap will sometimes be some warm milk and Manuka honey. I have found the two together to be incredibly calming and comforting and has helped promote better sleep.

I absolutely love Steens Manuka honey because of their exceptional taste, quality and versatility in use. They have amazing customer service and they are an honest, transparent company. I've tried other Manuka brands in the past and they just don't compare. Steens is the only honey i'll ever need!
