The days following Christmas Day are always full of leftovers. With far too much food for just one day, there are most definitely refrigerators around the world that are chocka full of leftover meats, desserts, chips and dips, cheeses and other rich treats.

A holiday detox can be a bit daunting, with thoughts of green juice recipes, detox smoothie recipes, and far too many celery sticks. Make it easy on yourself by sticking to delicious, fresh (or frozen) fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, and Manuka Honey to keep your immune system in tip top shape.

With the goodness of coconut, raspberries, banana, and spices added to your UMF 15+ Manuka Honey, this will feel no more like a detox than a piece of mouth watering Christmas cake with brandy custard.

Grab your blender, lets go!
The Steens Team x

  • 3/4Cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 1Frozen Banana
  • 1/3 Cup + 2 TablespoonsCanned Coconut Cream divided
  • 1Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk plus more to thin, if needed
  • 2Tablespoons Rolled Oats
  • 1/4Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/8Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4Teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/2Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp UMF 15+ Manuka Honey

Add all of the smoothie ingredients (minus the 2 tablespoons of coconut cream) to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. You may need to stop the blender and add more almond milk as desired, to thin out the smoothie.

Next, grab your glass and add the two tablespoons of coconut cream to the bottom. Use a spoon to spread the coconut cream up the sides of the glass.

Pour the smoothie in the glass, and top with additional coconut cream, a drizzle of manuka honey and/or chopped fresh raspberries and almonds, if desired.

Serve immediately, and enjoy!
