Crafting Your Own Winnie Harlow Island Glow Smoothie recipe at home
Because we know a lot of our lovely followers are not based in California, where the smoothie (and our honey) is sold in all Erewhon stores, we’ve decided to give YOU the opportunity to create it for yourself so you can experience what the hype is all about!
Winnie Harlow's Island Glow Smoothie, made famous by Erewhon Market, captures the essence of a tropical getaway in a glass. The secret to replicating the Island Glow lies not just in the ingredients but in the blending of flavors and textures to achieve that perfect balance between wellness and indulgence. It's about understanding how each component, from the tropical fruits to the coconut water and the addition of health-boosting supplements, contributes to the overall sensory experience. The goal is to create a smoothie that's not only visually appealing, with its vibrant colors and smooth texture, but also packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that promote health from the inside out.
Creating your Island Glow Smoothie at home also offers the flexibility to tweak the recipe to your dietary preferences and nutritional needs. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or looking for an extra protein punch, the homemade version allows for customisation that ensures every sip aligns with your wellness journey.

- Add 1 serving of Pitaya Foods Frozen dragon fruit to 1/2 of base layer

METHOD
Add all of the base ingredients into a blender and blend. Divide the base mixture in half by pouring into another vessel or another blender cup if you have one.
In one half add frozen dragon fruit to make the pink layer and blend.
Wash out your blender and add the other half of the base, add the frozen mango to make the yellow layer.
In a bowl, mix together coconut cream and a sprinkle of blue spirulina to achieve a light blue colour and smooth consistency.
Assemble the smoothie by adding the blue layer first, your can swirl the blue up the sides of your glass to give it a wavy effect. Then add your pink layer. Finally add the yellow layer.
To make it like Erewhon, top with a dollop of coconut cream and sprinkle of pink dragon fruit powder.
Now sit back, relax, and enjoy your tropical vacation in a cup!
